For most people who have used a computer, you know these as “fonts” as they are typically in the fonts menu, but printer’s refer to these as “typefaces”. We call the individual pieces of type “sorts” and a “font” is a measure of “sorts”. A “Job Font” is relatively small, a “Book Font” is large and can consist of hundreds of pounds of metal type.
